Mybosswas

MYBOSSWAS is a multidisciplinary creative studio and film production company founded in Turin in 2011, where artists and designers create transmedia projects, films, graphics, immersive installations, exhibitions, visual identities, communication campaigns, soundtracks, animations, immersive experiences and photographic projects.

Federico Biasin, Giorgio Ferrero and Rodolfo Mongitore founded MYBOSSWAS in Turin in 2011.

The studio has developed and produced transmedia creative content, films, photography, music, installations, web platforms, digital content programs, communication campaigns and visual identities, for major international brands, publishers and institutions, including Nike, Alfa Romeo, Barilla, Maserati, Champion, GEDI, Condé Nast, Mondadori and La Biennale di Venezia.

MBW has produced cinematic and multimedia works presented and awarded in international contexts such as the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence, MAXXI in Rome, the Triennale and Museo del Novecento in Milan, GAMeC in Bergamo, the Frankfurt Biennale, MAST in Bologna, the Bordeaux Biennale, the Fashion Institute of Technology and Lincoln Center in New York.

As an independent production company, it has collaborated with Tempesta, Kino, Fandango, The Fizz Facilities (USA), Mutante Cine (Uruguay) and Ruda Cine (Argentina), contributing to films and documentaries selected at major international festivals including the Venice Film Festival, Locarno, CPH:DOX, Visions du Réel and Cannes Docs.

MBW has created music, installations, graphics and video works for artists and authors such as David LaChapelle, James Cameron, Tim Burton, Paolo Giordano, Roberto Saviano, Alessandro Baricco and Antonio Citterio. It has also developed audiovisual installations and exhibition graphics for institutions including the Reggia di Venaria, MUST in Milan and the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence.

In 2014, MBW began its film production with Riverbero, presented in competition at the Rome Film Festival. In 2016, in collaboration with La Biennale di Venezia, it produced Beautiful Things, the award-winning film written and directed by Giorgio Ferrero, with cinematography and co-direction by Federico Biasin.

Denoise, the first virtual reality film by Ferrero & Biasin, has screened at major festivals dedicated to cinematic innovation, including Venice, Hot Docs Toronto, Oberhausen, True/False Minneapolis, RIDM Montreal, Taipei IFF and DOK Leipzig.

Between 2019 and 2021, MBW led the rebranding of the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence, developing its new visual identity, website and a digital content program. The project was launched with the musical short film Quartetto, featured in national and international media.

In 2021, MBW produced the documentary The Importance of Being an Architect, distributed by Nexo Digital and Sky, and premiered at the Triennale in Milan. At the 79th Venice International Film Festival, MBW presented Happy Birthday, a fiction short film directed by Ferrero and created entirely through video calls during the Ukrainian crisis. The film was distributed in Italy by Rai.

The film Bosco by Alicia Cano, co-produced with Mutante Cine, received the Critics’ Award for Best Original Score in Uruguay (2022) and was nominated for the Goya Awards and the Platino Awards, winning Best Documentary at the Málaga Film Festival and at the Festival dei Popoli.

In 2022, MYBOSSWAS produced Affiorare by Rossella Schillaci, a virtual reality film selected at festivals including Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand and FilmMaker, and distributed in Italy by Rai.

In 2024 and 2025, the studio led the artistic direction and direction of site-specific multimedia installations for the exhibitions of David LaChapelle and Tim Burton at the Museo Nazionale del Cinema in Turin.

The film project Thermocene by Giorgio Ferrero, currently in development, was presented as an installation preview at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, as well as at GAMeC in Bergamo and Gallerie d’Italia in Turin.

In 2019, Marco Quartana, former General Manager of Scuola Holden and Holden Studios, joined the company as partner and CEO.

MYBOSSWAS is a registered trademark owned by MYBOSS SRL.

“I watched Beautiful Things right away and VERY much liked it. The combination of sophisticated music and fantastic cinematography was wonderful.
I truly enjoyed it.”

Stefan Sagmeister

“Mr Ferrero is a unique artist in his sensitivity to the great details of storytelling. He has a wonderful and new point of view in his work”
David LaChapelle Studio NYC

MBW crew did amazing work on this project. MBW gave the show a unique, stunning look that really took it to another level.”
Stephen Amidon

“The space, in the hands of Mybosswas, becomes a mystical setting for a performance that distills bodies and the purity of sound.”
L’espresso

“His particular talent on display here is a kind of synesthesia, making music into images rather than using music to enhance images.”
Stephanie Zacherek (Time Magazine)

“Exploring the unknown through a blend of music, cinema and visuals. When music, cinema and visuals come together, the result is always astonishing, and this time even more so.”
La Stampa

“One of the best debuts of the last years.”
Nonsolocinema

“A visionary work that during the last Venice Film Festival left the lagoon with wide open eyes and closed mouth.”
Fabrique du cinéma

“Like any good symphonist, Ferrero knows the power of silence; the soundtrack makes room for dead spots that suggest a world scraped clean of all the clutter..”
David Bordwell

“The editing of the film is impressive, as the sequences overlap at some points, mirroring the way that music is often brought in early to transition scenes in movies.”
Kaleem Aftab (The independent, Cineuropa)
