Torino Città Creativa UNESCO del Design
Mybosswas crossroad
The video Torino Creative City, produced by Circolo del Design, was premiered in Fabriano during the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Meeting, where Turin was represented as a UNESCO Creative City of Design.
The project was created with the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, under the patronage of the City of Turin, and written, directed and composed by Mybosswas.
Innovation, inclusivity, contamination, community, diversity, beauty, these are just some of the words chosen to describe the free, spontaneous and dynamic creative energy surrounding the world of design in Turin. These words form the backbone of the Torino Creative City video, produced by Circolo del Design with the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, under the patronage of the City of Turin, and created by Mybosswas.
A collective narrative, a shared vision of the city and its ability to attract inspiration. Over 100 contributors took part in the project, including designers of different generations and levels of recognition, companies behind iconic products of the territory, students, cultural institutions and universities, composing a symphonic framework in which each element contributes to nurturing a deep, experimental and highly cross-disciplinary creative energy that defines Turin.
Presented as a world premiere in Fabriano during the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Meeting, where Turin played a leading role as a UNESCO Creative City of Design, the video unfolds across locations such as Teatro Carignano, Rampa del Lingotto and Spazio MRF, alongside iconic places of the city including Teatro Regio, Museo Nazionale del Cinema, Palazzo degli Affari, Palazzo del Lavoro, OGR, Nuvola Lavazza, Porta Susa railway station, La Venaria Reale and Palazzo Madama.
The project stems from a simple yet profound intuition: even the most complex and stratified landscape is always composed of individual elements that alternate and merge. A collective harmony in which the words, freely chosen by the participants, define the relationship between Turin and creativity, expressing the city’s identity through its cross-disciplinary, forward-looking and courageous design approach.
Participants from the cultural sector contributed to the project on a voluntary basis, all aligned with a shared vision. As explained by Sara Fortunati, Director of Circolo del Design, the video is “a symbol of an interconnected, free and energetic ecosystem.” Conceived in close collaboration with the involved institutions, the video itself becomes a tangible product of contemporary design in its broadest and most cross-media sense.
