A musical short film curated by Cecilie Hollberg, Director of the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence, produced by MYBOSSWAS and composed and directed by Giorgio Ferrero.
The musical suite Quartetto was written by Giorgio Ferrero with Rodolfo Mongitore for four historical instruments, either part of or inspired by the invaluable collection of musical instruments housed at the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence.
A contemporary composition that looks to the future through the tradition of the past, written specifically for the reconstruction of Bartolomeo Cristofori’s oval spinet, dating from 1690, for a Baroque cello similar to the Stradivari instrument exhibited in the museum, for a historical harp, and for a hunting oboe from the collection of the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence.
