Bosco è un film diretto dalla regista uruguaiana Alicia Cano prodotto da Mutante Cine di Montevideo, la casa di produzione di Agustina Chiarino e coprodotto da Mybosswas.
Bosco is a film directed by Uruguayan filmmaker Alicia Cano, produced by Mutante Cine in Montevideo, the production company founded by Agustina Chiarino, and co-produced by Mybosswas.
Bosco is a tiny Italian village that is slowly disappearing, a handful of houses, almost all abandoned. A magical place, as is the nature that surrounds it. On the other side of the ocean, in Uruguay, lives Alicia’s grandfather, whose ancestors emigrated from Bosco.
Through a long-distance dialogue spanning 13 years, the images of the grandfather in Uruguay and of the few remaining inhabitants of the village, along with their daily activities, tell the story of a time that has almost come to a standstill in Italy. Meanwhile, in Uruguay, the grandfather, closing his eyes, imagines himself there, despite never having been.
Giorgio Ferrero and Rodolfo Mongitore composed the film’s original score, with the participation of soprano singer Chiara Osella.
