The Malthus Specter by Marzia Migliora is a virtual reality installation designed by MYBOSSWAS and co-directed by Marzia Migliora and Giorgio Ferrero, with the screenplay by Marzia Migliora, curated by Matteo Lucchetti, photography by Federico Biasin and music and sound by Giorgio Ferrero and Rodolfo Mongitore.
The project, realized thanks to the support of the Italian Council 2019, is a virtual reality journey in the Sicilian salt mines, dedicated to the lack of sustainability of the relationship between capitalist production in relation to the exploitation of human, animal, and mineral resources.
The installation can be visited within the exhibition Lo Spectro di Malthus by Marzia Migliora, curated by Matteo Lucchetti, at the MA*GA Museum in Gallarate, from 10 October to 13 December 2020.
