Bosco is a film directed by Uruguayan director Alicia Cano, produced by Mutante Cine di Montevideo, the production company of Agustina Chiarino and co-produced by Mybosswas.
Bosco is a tiny Italian village, where the only few houses left are almost all uninhabited. A magical place, just like the nature that surrounds it.
On the other side of the ocean, in Uruguay, lives Alicia’s grandfather, whose ancestors emigrated from Bosco. In a 13-year long-distance dialogue, the images of his grandfather in Uruguay and the (few) inhabitants left in the village and their activities tell of a time that has almost stopped in Italy. While in Uruguay, the grandfather closes his eyes and imagines he is there, even though he has never been there before.
Giorgio Ferrero and Rodolfo Mongitore composed the soundtrack of the documentary film, with the participation of the soprano singer Chiara Osella.
